The City of Norfolk has a population of 241,000. It is located along the Chesapeake Bay, and borders the cities of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, and Newport News.
The Norfolk Sheriff's Office is responsible for court security, civil process and detention activities for the City of Norfolk. In order to enhance the quality of life for our citizens,
the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office provides a number of community services for children and our senior population.
The members of the Virginia Sheriffs' Association have
unanimously elected Sheriff Robert J. McCabe, City of Norfolk,
to serve a one-year term as President of the Association!
The Virginia Sheriffs' Association, a 6,500 member organization
representing Virginia's sheriffs and deputies, is the professional
trade association representing the interests of law enforcement
and the sheriffs' offices in Virginia.
